BrisSUP Club proudly presents the Coochie Classic 2022

Have you already registered for the race? All registrations for the original race day are still valid. All currently registered competitors will receive an email from the organisers with new details and how to get a refund if needed. The email has a link to an online Confirmation Form. We ask racers to fill out the short online Confirmation Form to confirm participation or to request a refund if you can’t make the new date. If we don’t hear from you we assume you will still be racing on the 27 November. Last date for requests for refunds is November 20th. Contact us if you have any questions.

 

Online registrations are open again for anyone who has not already registered for the original date To register, go to Tickets at the bottom of this page and purchase your registration. Online registrations close midnight on Friday 25 November 2022. No late entries and no event day entries accepted.

The Courses
There are 2 course options available: SHORT (4km) and LONG (8km around the island).

The long course will commence at Les Moore Park (standing water start) will then head towards the island paddled anti-clockwise around the island - TBC on the event day.

The short course will also commence at Les Moore  Park and paddlers will follow the long course over to the main land and at the 2km mark they will round a buoy anti-clockwise and head back to the starting location.

Age divisions will be determined by your age as on 5th November 2022. This race is a Tri-Series event.

Please ensure you have also completed your SUP Club membership before race fee payment.

To paddle in this event, you must be a member of one of the following clubs to cover you for insurance under Surfing Queensland.

For those paddlers who are not a current member of one of the nominated SUP clubs, please join your local SUP Club to help support and grow the sport, or alternatively, take out a BrisSUP Club day membership for $10.  If you are not a member of a SUP Club, race registration will be a two step process:

1. Join and pay for a BrisSUP Club membership through the Surfing Queensland online portal. Day memberships for 23 October can be purchased at any time.

2. Register for Coochie Classic 2022 and pay the race fee.

WAIVER
In consideration of the acceptance of my participation at the Coochie Classic 2022 with the BrisSUP Club Inc.

• I waive all claims that I may have against the BrisSUP Club Inc, its officers, directors, members, volunteers, employees, agents and sponsors, or its executors, administrators, heirs, successors or assigns (the organisers), and release them from all claims for death, injury or damage arising out of my participation in their club, their event and its related activities, together with any costs, including legal fees.
• I agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the organisers against damage arising out of my participation in the events and its related activities.
• I agree to comply with all the rules, regulations and instructions of the organisers.
• In the event of injury or illness during participation, I consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable by the organisers.
• I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and equipment during all the events and activities.
• I hereby permit the free use of my name and picture in any broadcasts, telecasts and the press including website as they pertain to the BrisSUP Club Inc. their events and activities.
• I understand that my membership or entry entry fee is non-transferable and not refundable.
• I agree to have my personal details recorded and used by the BrisSUP Club Inc. and related parties for further communications of future related events.
• I agree to comply with the latest COVID-19 regulations on the day.
